So i had a pack of old Lucky Strikes sitting in my purse from like 3 months ago..
I QUIT, so please dont lecture me on smoking.
But anyway, i came home from school, and asked her about my plans for next weekend and she says, “I have to talk to you about something I found in your purse. I’ll talk to you when i get home from the store since your sisters are around right now”.
I looked around my room to see if the purse was still there.
Under my bed, i found the pack of Lucky Strikes. I’d think she’d throw em away, but she hasn’t.
What should i expect?
I dont wanna disappoint her.
btw, im muslim, so this is going to be a huge shocker.
I’m already on lockdown and I can barely go out with my friends at all, since shes that overprotective.
I’m scared, and dont know what to do.

So, if they were on your purse and ended up under your bed, she probably just threw them down, or put them there.
Before you get too scared, I know it’s hard not to, the first time your parents find out your smoking it’s an “oh my God” moment, I started smoking when I was 10. But don’t get too scared before you find out exactly what she thinks about it, for all you know, she might not have even found them, but that’s some prime optimism there.
Depending on what kind of mum she is, she MIGHT be okay if you tell her you used to smoke but stopped, or you can tell her they’re your friends and you were holding them for her/him. But when she asks “who?”, because she will, I suggest you pick a friend that you just casually talk to at school and she doesn’t know, or a generic name like “Alex”. Practice your story in the mirror a few times so you’ve got it down pact cause you might be nervous when she confronts you. And you’re gonna wanna believe your lie before you say it real time, if you don’t you can’t sell it. But practice it and if she asks and you tell her that, look right into her eyes and don’t blink alot, when people lie they blink uncontrollably.
